Our Heritage
Alia® was founded in 1987 by husband-and-wife team Ali and Jen Romero. Based out of Los Angeles, they hand-printed the first collection of Alia® t-shirts and sold them at local flea markets. They quickly built up a following for the brand’s laidback yet put-together Californian style.
In the 1990s, the brand expanded into a full womenswear collection. The line featured effortless dresses, printed blouses, relaxed denim and bohemian-inspired designs. Alia® pieces could be dressed up or down, layering seamlessly into any wardrobe.
As the brand grew, Alia® stuck to its roots while evolving with the times. We translated our relaxed aesthetic into chic, modern essentials fit for work, weekends and travel. Today, we offer an expansive range of clothing, shoes, jewelry and handbags to take you from day to night in effortless style.
Our Commitment to Quality
At Alia®, quality and integrity are at the core of everything we do.
We carefully vet each of our fabric suppliers, ensuring that they meet our stringent standards. Many of our fabrics are sourced from Italy, Spain and France, regions renowned for luxury textile production. From lightweight cotton blends to supple genuine leathers, our materials are selected for their beauty, durability and comfort.
Once sourced, our fabrics go through a thorough inspection process. Our team checks for color consistency, pilling resistance and overall quality. Only the fabrics that pass our rigorous inspection are used for Alia® garments.
When it comes to manufacturing, most Alia® pieces are produced in our company-owned and -operated factories. Highly trained artisans cut and assemble each garment by hand to ensure impeccable craftsmanship. We also partner with carefully selected producers that meet our elevated standards.
Finally, all Alia® garments go through multiple quality control checks before reaching our stores. Nothing embodies the Alia® brand more than our tireless commitment to creating clothing of exquisite make and integrity.
